Easy Way to unistall useless system applications and free internal space in Android Phone (root required) [WITH SCREENSHOTS]
Phone manufactures tend to
include a number of applications that they assume could be useful to us but are
actually useless and most annoying; they tend to take a lot of space which
would have been used to install applications that we really need.
Before rooting your phone,
it is impossible to uninstall or delete these applications since you are not
granted that permission to do so.
After rooting your phone you
then have full access to system files and also have full permission to change anything
you wish (That's if you are not dumb enough to delete system applications that
your phone uses to run :-D)
Anyhow, you have to be careful
not to temper with any file (application) you don't know otherwise you're might
not function again. But still, it's not that scary a process. Any application
that was merely added there can be easily noticed e.g Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,
WeChat, WhatsApp, MovieMaker, Audio Player, GameHub... etc
I will guide you in a very
easy way to do this using a great file explorer called ES File Explorer. You
simply won't be able to delete system files the way you would just delete any
file from your phone storage.
Let’s begin:
STEP 1
Launch ES File Explorer from
your Application menu/drawer
STEP 2
You should be able to see
your files
STEP 3
Tap/Press the menu button on
your phone which should launch a side bar within ES File Explorer
STEP4
Scroll along the side bar to
"Root Explorer." Make sure it
is turned ON. Tap "Root
Explore" again and for the first time, it should request root access.
Grant it.
STEP 5
STEP 6
You should be able to see a
list of system apps. Scroll until you file the app you wish to uninstall/remove
STEP 7
After finding it, hold it
until you're given the option to select it. You'll see the "uninstall option
at the bottom of ES File Explorer
STEP 8
Tap "Uninstall" to
remove it and click "OK" in the next dialog box that displays. You
may wish to back it up on your SD Card if you wish to keep it and re-install it
whenever you wish.
Done!
