HOW TO INSTALL ANDROID ON PC ALONGSIDE WINDOWS (DUAL-BOOTING)
Requirements
1. Android ISO file:
(i) 4.2 Jellybean
(ii) 4.3 Jellybean
2. UNetBooin
3. A flash disk of 1GB and above
Procedure
1. Place your flash disk in your PC and format it to FAT32
2. Launch Unetbootin
3. Choose Android ISO file and USB Drive letter (Choose drive letter carefully) and click OK for UnetBootin to write ISO to flash disk
Now it’s time to reboot BUT make sure your computer is configured to boot from USB first!
4. You should be able to see a UnetBootin blue screen displaying options on whether you want to test or install Android
At this point, you can choose to test Android without installation or scroll down to install permanently on hard disk. We shall install permanently in this procedure.
5. Select the last option and you will see a menu showing you options of the partitions on which to install Android. Choose the second or third partition.
6. Now choose ntfs format and click OK
7. IN THIS STEP, CLICK SKIP SO THAT, THAT PARTITION IS NOT FORMATTED!! REMEMBER WINDOWS OS HAS TO BE RETAINED IN ORDER TO HAVE IT RUN ALONGSIDE ANDROID. WINDOWS HAS TO BE KEPT INTACT!
8. Select YES to install boot loader GRUB.
9. Select YES to create a boot item for windows found on that partition.
10. You will be asked whether you want to install /system directory as read-write. Click NO!!
11. Select YES to create a disk image and select the size you want. I prefer maximizing it. You will notice that the larger its size, the larger the internal memory once installation is done.
Now run Android
That’s it
You now have a computer that Dual-Boots Android and Windows.
Enjoy!
