How To Root Android Phones
Rooting is basically the ability to have yourself gain full
control over your phone; The ability to change system files of your phone in
any way you may wish.
A rooted phone grants access to the core system that runs
the entire phone. So the user can be able to access it and change whatsoever
thing they want to change. With a rooted phone you have the ability to do quite
a number of things which may include;
Installing modified versions of an Android
system also called Custom ROMs. Mainly useful if you want to upgrade phone
Android version if no official updates are available
Changing boot animation
Changing phone font
Installing different phone themes
Flashing mods and kenels
Record phone screen
To
mention but a few
There are also many apps and procedures that would require
one to root their phones.
How To Root
Rooting a phone may depend on the specific model of phone
you have and that’s why most people would prefer to Google up the exact
procedure to root their phones. But today many developers have created various
applications that can be used as a universal method to root majority of phones.
Some applications can be installed on phone and the root process done there and
then and some others are installed on the computer on which the phone is
connected and rooted via USB
In my research, I’ve collected a few Android Apps you can
install on a phone and root straight away in a few seconds. I consider this
method the quickest any one should try first. It’s not guaranteed that they root
all phones but coming from one who has used them, I say they root majority of
phones. These apps include;
This is an app I’ve used to root almost all phones I’ve come
across. It’s it Chinese but the rooting process is quite easy and fast. All you
have to do is download it, install it, open it and tap the green button. In a
few seconds, a notification should pop up. Grant it access and before you know
it, your phone will be rooted. If it takes more than five minutes to bring up
the notification, it will probably not root that phone. I suggest you try the
process about three times if that happens
2.
FramaRoot
This uses available exploits to root your phone. Open it and
you’ll see the available options. If there are no options, this app will not
root your phone.
3.
Z4Root
This has existed for quite a long time. It rooted selected
phones. Last device I tried using it was HTC Desire. It rooted it successfully.
Those are the simple ways you can root your phone easily.
Other universal ways do require a computer. These apps require your phone
drivers installed on the computer (for many phones, they install once you
connect the phone to a computer) and also, USB Debugging should be enabled.
Once you open the application they should guide you on how you enable USB
Debugging on your phone but for Android 4.1 and above you’ll find the option
under Settings>>Developer Options>>USD debugging. They might also
require internet connection.
These applications include;
Note that once your phone is rooted, a SuperSU or SuperUser
app will be installed automatically and you should be able to see it in your
app drawer. You might also wish to confirm that your phone is rooted by
downloading and installing root checker.
